Transport
The properties are situated in the village of Shilbottle, 3 miles from Alnwick, the A1 and the coast. Every property has private parking close to the front door of the property.

At Village Farm the facilities at the Health Club have a private car park 30 metres from the reception. Access over gravel paths and paved areas to the sports field, games room , adventure playground and across lawn to the tennis court. Taxi service numbers are available. Alnmouth Station is 3 miles away with arrangements for assistance by rail staff possible upon advance request. Bus stops 300 metres down Middle road next to the church. A wheel chair is available for use.

Arrival
Arrival times are flexible within reason to enable assistance. Mobile telephone numbers are made known to visitors and phone reception is good in most areas.

Deliveries / Local services
Deliveries by local shops and take away meals is possible. Supplies of logs are replenished in several allocated spaces.

Refuse collection information is given in each property.

Assistance
Shop Mobility is available in Newcastle. Assistance dogs are welcome.

The owners, Anthony and Crissy Stoker, live at Town Foot Farm, Shilbottle (1/2 mile from Village Farm ) and can be contacted by phone to give assistance as can the staff at Village Farm Health club who are trained in First aid. The hours when the staff are on duty are Monday to Thursday, 9.00 am until 8.00 pm; Friday, 9.00 am until 7.00 pm; and Saturday and Sunday, 9.00 am until 1.00 pm.

The Properties
These vary in layout, size and location.

The properties on one level are Cedar, Pine and Kielder chalets, Coquet Lodge, Murrayfield, Viewfield.

The property with a downstairs bathroom and bedroom is Wool Cottage.

The properties with a staircase to gain access to bedrooms and /or bathrooms are The Farmhouse, Pantiles Cottage, Town Foot Cottage, Melrose Cottage and Sally's Flat.

Cedar , Pine, Murrayfield and Viewfield - front door steps.
Coquet Lodge and Pine and Kielder Chalets - ramp to veranda door.

Wool Cottage - ground floor entrance to bathroom, kitchen, living room / dining area and double bedroom.

The Farmhouse - ground floor entrance to kitchen, living room, second living room with double sofa bed, wet room shower has no steps. Stairs to first floor bedrooms and bathrooms and showers with one hand rail.

Pantiles Cottage has hand rail for wooden stairs to first floor bedrooms and showers.

Town Foot and Melrose Cottage carpeted stairs with one hand rail to first floor bedrooms. One step from living / dining room down into kitchen and bathroom and back door.

Sally's Flat - steep wooden narrow stairs with one hand rail to access the first floor flat.

All properties have the following a remote control for television and DVD, non- feather pillows, duvets and cushions with polycotton sheets and covers. Extra ramps for negotiating steps are available on request. Access to garden areas / patios. Task lighting upon request.

Village Farm Health Club
The Health Club is on one level from the entrance door into the reception area and ground floor gym, changing room and shower, unisex toilet. Telephone available. Seating at entrance.

Access to the swimming pool, spa and beauty rooms is via a gravel path, 20 metres from the private parking areas. The pool surround is carpeted and accessed by a ramp from the changing room. The pool's shallow end (1 metre depth) is gained by three steps with a central hand rail. A hand rail is provbided from the swimming pool changing room up a slope to the showers and pool. All showers in the leisure Club have hands-free sensor controls.

The spa has a vertical hand rail with wide sliding door (no step) into relaxation area containing level-entry wide-doored steamroom and sauna. The floors have been treated with an anti-slip process.
