4) Christmas Crafting with Northumberland Wildlife Trust (4th December)

Calling all craft lovers! The Northumberland Wildlife Trust are hosting a festive crafting event where you can make your very own Christmas wreath to take home and hang on your front door. Taking place at Northumberlandia Visitor’s Centre, you’ll be provided with foliage from their very own reserves and other natural materials to create the perfect welcoming decoration. You are also welcome to bring any of your own additional ribbons and adornments to make your wreath extra special. Of course, the session wouldn’t be complete without a tasty mince pie and a soul warming mug of something hot!

5) Royal Northern Sinfonia: Christmas By Candlelight (5th December)

Get into the spirit of the most wonderful time of the year with a spectacular seasonal concert by candlelight. Royal Northern Sinfonia’s Christmas by Candlelight concert takes place at The Maltings and features classic festive music played beautifully by a live orchestra, against the stunning backdrop of a flickering candlelight glow. Watch and listen as skilled musicians bring your Christmas favourites to life – they might even ask you to sing along to a few!

Similarly, Farrier’s View is a charming stone-built cottage also featuring four bedrooms, sleeping up to eight people, and boasting a private hot tub in the garden. Both these cottages are ideal for a large family reunion or group gathering.

For slightly smaller groups, Murrayfield is the perfect accommodation, sleeping up to six people and boasting its own luxurious hot tub. Kielder Chalet is a well-designed compact chalet which can sleep up to four people, making it ideal for a small family getaway. Finally, our luxury Brooks Cottage is a fantastic choice for a romantic couple’s retreat, sleeping just two people. The charming wood-burning stove makes the cottage extra cosy – you couldn’t ask for more!
