October: Kielder Marathon Weekend

Saturday 7th - Sunday 8th October, 1pm - 5pm

The Kielder Marathon has built up a reputation as Britain's most beautiful marathon, and acts as the finale to a weekend of fantastic events. The weekend starts with the Kielder 10K and Kielder Run Bike Run on Saturday 7th October, followed by the Kielder Half Marathon and Junior races on Sunday 8th October. The festivities create an electric atmosphere here in Northumberland, offering a fabulous weekend for all to enjoy.

The Marathon route follows an almost entirely off-road course around northern Europe's largest man-made lake, Kielder Water, in the heart of Northumberland. It's a great reason to visit the region, with plenty of activities to get involved in around Kielder Water and the surrounding Northumberland countryside.
